Nelson Palms is your home away from home, conveniently nestled between the coastal towns of Nelson Bay and Shoal Bay. Within walking distance of three iconic beaches, Shoal Bay, Little Beach and Fly Point.
Adventure around Port Stephens, stroll one of it’s 26 beaches or simply relax in our tranquil garden setting.

Important Information.

  • Check in & Check Out

    Check In is Between 2:00pm - 7:00pm Late Check Ins can be arranged with reception prior to guest arrival .

    Check Out is 10:00am
    Upon check-out, please return your room keys to reception if open, otherwise leave them in your room.

    Please contact reception prior to check out if you require additional time. We will try to accommodate requests where we can however fees may apply.

  • BBQ Areas

    There is a BBQ area located in the front corner of the property that is for use of all the guests. Please clean the BBQ after use and leave the area in a tidy state for all other guests to enjoy. The cottage, family suite and queen with garden access have their own private BBQ areas.

  • Reception Hours

    Reception hours vary from day to day, so if the office is unattended and you need assistance, please contact us on
    0488 440 004.

  • Parking

    There is free onsite parking for our guests. Should the carpark be full, please park on the side street located along Shoal Bay Rd.

  • Portable Cots

    Portable Cots are available for guest use, please contact reception if you require one (fees apply).

  • Reviews

HOUSE RULES

NO SMOKING OR VAPING

Smoking & Vaping is NOT Permitted in any Rooms at Any Time *additional charges will
applied.

ADDITIONAL GUESTS

Additional Guests are NOT to be invited to the property without notice and management approval.

PETS

Pets are NOT permitted on the premises unless they are an approved assistance or guide dog.

BEHAVIOUR

Guests are expected to behave in a manner which is respectful to the safety, comfort, and convenience of other guests within the property.

Noisy, offensive, or unruly behaviour will not be tolerated.

Any act or omission by a guest that adversely effects or brings discredit upon Nelson Palms, Management, the Owners or other guests will not be tolerated

Breach of House Rules may result in the immediate eviction of the guest/s at the discretion of Management.

NOISE

All outdoor noise is to cease at 10pm in respect to our guests and neighbours.

LOST & DAMAGED PROPERTY

Any lost or damaged property of Nelson Palms will be charged to the guest/s who reserved the room.

Please note that a surcharge will be charged to your Credit Card if your room is left in an unsatisfactory state.

In Your Room.

  • Air Conditioning & Heating

    For maximum effect, please close all windows and doors when using the air conditioner.

    When leaving your room please turn the air-conditioner & lights off.

  • Towels

    Rooms are not serviced, but extra towels are available at reception if needed.

Beaches.

  • Little Beach

    Located only 850m away, this beach is ideal for families with small children.
    There are a few food outlets, a Takeaway Store, The Little Beach Boathouse (bookings recommended) & Below Deck Bar, there is also the Inner Light Tearooms which is located at the end of Lighthouse Road.

  • Shoal Bay Beach

    Located only 900m away, Shoal Bay Beach is one of Port Stephens most beautiful beaches. The water’s edge does have a drop off, so it’s recommended for families with older children.
    The far end of Shoal Bay beach has an esplanade, with a large range of eateries as well as an IGA and pharmacy.

  • Fly Point/Nelson Bay Beach

    Located 1km away, Nelson Bay Beach is another great family friendly beach and is ideal when the wind is coming from the NE in the afternoon.
